AUCKLAND KARATE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS - ROUND 4
The fourth and final regional event of the year organised by Karate Auckland.
Date: Sunday 14th September 2025
Time: Beginning at 8:00 am
Location: Auckland Netball Centre Stadium,7 Allison Ferguson Drive, St Johns
Checklist for equipment requirements
• ALL KUMITE COMPETITORS MUST WEAR:
– Mouthguard
– Body protector (will be provided at the tournament)
– Red and Blue belts
– Red and Blue gloves (matching the belt they are competing in)
– Foot protectors (must match the belt colour)
• Male Kumite competitors must wear a groin protector
• Female Kumite 11-year-olds and above are advised to wear approved chest protector
• Headgear mandatory for Under 14 (will be provided at the tournament)
• Clean white gi with pants and sleeves at correct length (must not be rolled up and should be sewn)
• Gi to have the Jyoshinmon badge (order the badge through your Sensei)
Team Dress
If having a braid or ponytail, it must be tied in a single style as more than one is not allowed.
Competitors are representing the club, so please do not wear jeans, leggings or shorts.
Black track pants are preferable with the Jyoshinmon T-Shirt and/or jacket if you possess one. You can order the Jyoshinmon T-shirt through your Sensei.
Coaches must wear the Jyoshinmon tracksuit.

INTERCLUB KATA TOURNAMENT
This event was for Kata only which was held on 16th August, and it was open to all members from our 5 Jyoshinmon Dojos. It was an opportunity for students new to competition.
There was also a Kata Referee Seminar presented by Sensei Jason Ng prior to the tournament. The session covered the criteria required to judge and referee a Kata match as well as all the new rules and regulations from the World Karate Federation.

Badges are required to be worn during Gradings and at Tournaments.

Our new Jyoshinmon t-shirts were produced this year with Silver print and trim. Available in Men’s, Women’s and Kid’s sizes.
Adult sizes at $40
Kid sizes at $35
There are still some 50th Anniversary t-shirts in Gold print and trim but only available in Kid’s sizes at $25.
