We have the pleasure to host a Kata Only Tournament for only Jyoshinmon members from our 5 Jyoshinmon Dojos and all students (except for White belts) are encouraged to participate. This is a good introduction to competing at a Karate event for those who are new to tournaments, and good practice for those with some experience.
The format of the tournament will be Round-Robin qualifying rounds so each competitor will get to have a minimum of 2 matches in their category. Certificates will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Places.
Competitors must have:
• A clean white gi with pants and sleeves at correct length (must not be rolled up and should be sewn)
• The Jyoshinmon badge on the gi - which can be ordered through your Sensei
• A water bottle
Red and Blue belts would be provided at the venue, but it would be preferable to have your own that is the right size.
