Karate New Zealand is hosting the New Zealand Karate Open and the 2025 National Schools Competitions.
The New Zealand Karate Open event is open to New Zealand Karate-ka and competitors aged 5 years to veterans from other countries.
The National Schools' Karate Competition is only for athletes attending school or home-schooled in New Zealand can enter this event.
To compete in the Secondary Schools Cup or Championship events, athletes must be in Year 9 or above.
Students in Years 1 to 8 must compete in the relevant age group divisions.
Date: Saturday 28th June and Sunday 29th June 2025
Time: 9.00 am
Location: Pioneer Recreation & Sport Centre, Christchurch

If you want to participate at the Open or Schools or both competitions, please discuss with your Sensei as they will need to send your details for entry into Sportdata by Saturday 7th June.
All school-age athletes must complete the School Sport NZ Registration Form and email to kcrawford@karatenz.org.nz by Friday, 13th June 2025.
