The 55th anniversary of Jyoshinmon is happening next weekend in Tokyo, Japan.
A group of 18 members will be representing us from Jyoshinmon New Zealand. They will take part in competition, seminars, grading and knowledge sharing along with Jyoshinmon members from other countries. There will be an impact on our classes as many Sensei are going as part of the group.

New Lynn Classes
New Lynn Dojo will be the only Dojo operating.
Sensei Chris and Senpai Joji will be attending the anniversary celebration, so their class schedule will be covered by Shihan David, Sensei Beaty, Sensei Zak and Senpai Sian.

We wish the best of luck to the team and look forward to them bringing what they learn in Japan back to our Dojo's here in New Zealand.

NZ Open and NZ National Secondary Schools Competitions 2024
Congratulations to Ghazal Sandhu from New Lynn Dojo!
She achieved the Silver medal in the Kumite – Female – 14/15 years +55KG category at the NZ Open Championships.
Synergy Sports Centre Notice!
Last but not least, there will be a boxing event held at Synergy Sports Centre this Saturday 27th July and will be a ticketed event.
However Jyoshinmon students will be allowed into the Dojo for the usual Saturday classes, though no one other than ticket holders are allowed in the stadium to watch the event.
Drop-off and pick-up would need to be from the front entrance to prevent non-ticket holders from using the back entrance.
Best Regards,
Chris Bennett
