Yondan Grade
I have been training with Jyoshinmon since I was 3 years old, because my parents preferred to have me with them at the dojo while they were teaching rather than leave me with babysitters. Since then, Karate has defined the way I live, giving me so many positive experiences around the world for training and competition.
In an attempt to give back to Karate, I am working to promote it within New Zealand. I was previously a member of the Executive Committee as Secretary-General of Karate New Zealand.
I gained my Yondan grade in Tokyo, Japan, just after the 45th Jyoshinmon Anniversary Festival in 2014.
During the 50th Jyoshinmon Anniversary Festival, I won the Shiwari event (board-breaking) which was held in Kagoshima, Japan.
